As the chair’s where passed around, Marshall took one closest to the door of the house, across from where Clementine, David and Archie where sitting, and close enough to where Ellen was sitting to see all of the other faces clearly. He had already heard this sing and dance before.
“So, basically the Island is like a big snow-globe?” He heard Archie ask and smirked despite himself. The tone of his voice seemed less skeptical this time, but there was still a tone of irritation. Marshall got the feeling he was just as eager to get some rest as the rest of the other misfits. They where a sorry looking bunch for sure, but really, if you had just been through what they had, plus been told what they where about to be told, you wouldn’t be looking so great yourself.
“What do you mean by ‘no way off the Island’? You mean literally? How is that possible?” Clementine spoke this time. It wasn’t till she asked it that she realized that it was a bit of a stupid question. If it was possible that there was spirits running around guiding people here than it could be possible for there not to be a way out of here. But still...why?
What where they going to do now? All of their belongings had been on the boat, which was probably at the bottom of the ocean by now. She could probably go down to the beach sometime... hope that some of their clothes at least had been washed up on the shore.

“Cool it, Bobby.” Marshall’s head turned in the direction of the other guy, only a few years younger than himself, his tone was stern and his eyes. He caught a slightly confused look from Archie at the reference to the Brady Bunch. It was an unusual nickname but it seemed fitted in this situation. “Now. Can we all just get through this with as little pain as possible?” He continued in his southern drawl. “As an impartial but equally useful member of the group, I should point out that not all of us have as much time in the world as you sorry lot.”
“I may have only been here a few hours but already that seems rich coming from you.” Clementine smirked. Marshall arched a brow at her.
“Watch it Sticks.”
“Sticks?”
“As in those legs of yours.” He grinned mischievously.
He saw Archie rise a little out of his seat,. but then turned a nice shade of white and sat down again, deciding against whatever he had been planning on doing.
“Now how about you cool it.” Marshall looked at Davin again, “and listen to what this lady has to say.”

Ellen sat back letting the man vent she understood the things going through their heads the best she could, true she had never been in their position as she was born on the island, but she had seen so many people who were brought here react in similar ways. Hearing Marshall’s reaction to Davin’s yelling which had woken up Alison who began to fuss she decided it was time to intervene.
“Ok, ok break it up boys, thank you Marshall but that will do. Now I understand that this is hard to take in but everything I tell you is true, for tonight you may all stay here I have plenty of spare rooms and tomorrow I will help each of you to find your place here.”
Abby who was way too tired to take all this in right now only took in the mention of rooms, rooms which most likely had beds in them, standing up she looked at the others
“Great I’ve been awake for way to long mind if I skip this until tomorrow?”
“No not at all, I’ll show you to one of the rooms”
Ellen said standing and adjusting Alison on her hips she thought this would be a good chance to put the girl down to sleep it had been a long day for her as well.
“Awesome”
Abby said as she followed Ellen, opening the door she waited for Abby to enter then turned to the others;
“Anyone else rather crash and continue this tomorrow?”
She said the truth was Ellen liked it when the new arrivals stayed in the big house with her, it made her feel safer.

At the mention of a bed, Archie was one of the first onces, after Abby to get up and head for the door. Clementine followed after him, giving Marshall a forced smile before she reached the door too. She felt cold and when she pushed her hair back from her face she could feel the salt and sand under her fingernails. “Mind if I take a shower first?” she asked Ellen.
Marshall was the next person to get to his feet and as he pushed the chair in, he had to fight to keep back the urge to say something smart. “Well, I think I’d best be getting some shut eye too.” He nodded a silent goodbye to Ellen, glanced at Archie and Clementine before he started to make his way down the stairs, and onto the drive way.
He could hear thunder rumble up somewhere near the mountains, and even in the glow of the full lit moonlight he could see dark. He hated the rain. It had always been something like an omen of bad things to come. It had rained on the day that his dad...never mind. The day of his parents' funeral. The day his Aunt and Uncle took him in. The day he left after his uncle hit that guy...
He kicked at the dirt, dusting up his boots as he walked down the drive way, heading towards the road.

Davin was a mixture of scaird of what had happened and annoyed that the others took it so lightly Davin waited for the others to leave before he decided to go for a wonder he began to head back to town but he decided against it and heard a rumble up in the hills Davin began to walk up in to the Forrest at least if it rained then there was some cover. he had been walking for hours the moon was high in the sky and the hooting of owls was strangely comforting to Davin just then he began to feel so tired well he had been up for 20 hours strait he thought he just may just rest buy the tree so he sat for some time he slightly dosed then all of a sudden the horse that he saw on the beach just appeared nudging him Davin got up it was strange Davin thought that a horse like this would just come up to a person it was big but Davin knew nothing about horses Davin took a step back then another the horse bean to walk towalds Davin. Davin stooped he had a feeling the horse wanted him to ride it but Davin knew nothing about riding let alone how to get on Davin walked to the side of the horse
"just jump on it" a voice yelled
but Davin could not see where the voice came from so Davin took hold of its mane placed a hand on its back and climbed up it was easer then he thought Davin had no idea why he just got on top of this horse but he felt comfortable on it. the horse took off and Davin began to yell then he realized that the horse was taking him back to the a barn house Davin was so exhausted he fell asleep on the back of the horse and riled in to the warm straw he lay ed there until morning having the best night sleep he had in a very long time

Ellen smiled as the others got up to join her and Abby they all looked ready for bed but one remained sitting, Davin, with a shrug she waited for the others to enter the house then letting the fly screen door shut behind her. Leading the way up the stairs they came out on a long landing, opening the doors to three rooms each with comfortable double beds, with warm fluffy blankets and plenty of pillows, a dresser stood against a wall of each.
“Ok Abby the first one is for you, Clementine the second, Archie the third, there is spare clothes in the dressers, you may even recognize some, in that closet there are towels and through that door is the bathroom.”
She said pointing to two doors on the opposite wall.
“Wait what do you mean we might even recognize some?”
Abby asked a bit freaked out by this
“You don’t think you would have been brought her without anything of your own do you.”
Ellen said with a smile and walked to one of the doors on the other side, opening the door it showed a beautiful nursery, going in she lay Alison down in the crib and tucked her in. waiting for a moment she saw the young child fall asleep.
When she walked out of the room she saw Abby looking through the wardrobe with a look of shock and happiness on her face at seeing all her clothes right there, at least she had something from her old life to hang onto.
“Ok I have to go could you three keep an ear out for Alison, if she cries just comfort her, she will go back to sleep, I’m going to lock the door, don’t let anyone else in please.”
She said emphasizing the last bit there was one person she never wanted to see again let alone anywhere near Alison.
“Yer sure but where are you going?”
Abby asked curious.
“It’s a long day for new arrivals I have to go meet another one.”
Ellen said with a sigh and began to walk down the stairs as she existed the door she gave a loud whistle and Satoria’s ears pricked up and she trotted over. Glancing to were they had all sat she noticed that Davin was gone and rolled her eyes, she shut the big wooden door and locked it before mounting the horse, that was a problem for later she didn’t have time for that now.
Moving the horse into a trott Ellen headed out to meet the newest arrivals.

Clementine and Archie where silent as they where directed up the stairs and towards three rooms. After Abby, Archie was the first to walk into ‘his’ room and take a look around. It was faily decent size, at least big enough for a double bed, and a dresser against the wall. He circled the room slowly for a second before walking over and opening up the top drawer of the dresser, reaching in and taking out a few of the shirts. He grinned as he pulled out a few of his old shirts that he had left in the dresser back on the boat, but he also shuddered as he wondered how they had gotten there.
“Hey phlegm! Check your drawers, our clothes are in here!” He called out from the door, taking off his other shirt and pulling on the fresh one. He glanced around for a laundry and figured it was downstairs.
Clementine walked into the room too, taking her time in taking in all of the surroundings. She opened the drawers and found a few pairs of jeans and a few singlets, nothing much but it would do till she could get a job seeing as they’d be there for a while. She sat down on the bed for a moment, feeling her eyes start to well up in her eyes. She shook her face as if to try and get rid of them and then turned to look out the window, focusing out at the darkness, trying to make out shapes, and shadows.

As Ellen rode off on Satoria toward the Tjuringa Mountain, other forces were at work, she was leaving early the new arrivals were not due yet but she had a meeting in the mountains to attend while she waited for them, one that she was late for.
Abby meanwhile was wiped and she had no intention of worrying about a shower tonight that could wait until the morning, finding her favorite pair of fluffy pink pajama’s. Smiling and holding them up, she knew they were her’s there was a hole on the right shoulder that had been there for ages she kept meaning to sew it up. It was a curious colour for her since during the day she wore black but despite what people thought she wasn’t all goth, she just liked black things.
Pulling her day clothes off and pulling on her pj’s she smiled as she hung up the lab coat, this was weird but she wasn’t going to worry about it tonight. She sunk down onto the bed and sighed with relief it was the most comfortable bed ever, or was that the fact that she hadn’t slept for god knows how long? She had lost count of how long she had been up by now. The night was warm and she didn’t bother crawling under the covers, her eyes closed blissfully and she was nearly asleep when she heard the baby Allison fussing.
Laying there for a moment she didn’t hear anyone else getting up to tend to her so with a groan she got out of the comfortable bed and opened the door. Crossing the hall in her pink pj’s she walked through the open door and picked up the young girl, and made soft soothing noises as she rocked the infant gently.
Within minutes the girl stopped fussing but Abby kept rocking her gently, she didn’t really want the girl to wake up again and until she was sure she was back asleep she wasn’t going to put her down.

Clementine left the room and made her way across the hall towards the bathroom, a towel under her arm. It was pretty easy to navigate her way around the upstairs. She walked past her brothers room, and noticed that the door was partly closed. She could make out his shadow and hear him accidently knock something over, probably in an attempt to get out of his damp shoes and socks. They’d have to be taken downstairs if he wanted them to dry, or at least sat outside the window sill, provided it didn’t rain tonight.
She could hear the baby fussing and watched as the back haired girl - she wasn’t sure about her name yet - head into the little girls bedroom while Ellen was downstairs.
She was surprised at how relaxing the shower felt as she sat down and felt the hot water rain down on her back, she watched as the water dripped off of the loose strands of hair around her face and tasted the salt of her own tears. It was about fifteen minutes before she got out and dressed herself, then making her way back out into the corridor, wringing out her hair into the towel as she walked.
She walked past her brothers room and peered inside, forcing to hide a smile as she looked at him laying on his stomach in his briefs, a leg and arm hanging off of the bed and his head on the pillow. There was a small patch of liquid near his chin, and she figured that he was drooling again. Closing the door gently behind her, she continued to walk again, this time brushing past the door frame of Allison’s room and looking in to see Abby was still rocking her gently.
“Hey,” She said, stepping in. “I don’t think that we’ve met properly. I’m Clementine.”

Abby half heatedly noticed the other women walk down the hall to the shower but paid no attention to it, after all she was awake enough to have a shower but not to comfort the fussing child. ‘stop it Abby, its not her fault’ she told herself instead she had a bad habit of cursing other people, for stupid little things. In the big city of New York it didn’t matter too much you hardly ever saw that person again but she knew this was going to be different.
It took 15 minutes before she thought the child was finally asleep enough, she was just walking over to the crib to lay her down when she heard a voice at the door, she made a shushing sound as she placed the child down, waiting a minute to make sure she didn’t stir. Walking back to the door she left it open so she could hear the girl if she cried again, standing before the other women she felt slightly odd in her pink pj’s normally no one saw her in anything but all black or all black and a white lab coat.
“Hi, I'm Abby, and that’s a really long name mind if I call you Clem instead?”
She said with a smile looking at her, she seemed nice enough and there was no need to make enemy’s on a island there was apparently no way off of was there.

Clementine felt a little out of place standing in the strange house, being given a strange room to sleep in, in a house full of strangers. The only familiar thing here was Archie and he wasn’t even awake anymore.
She got distracted momentarily as she heard a banging sound downstairs..no wait maybe further than that but shook her head, disregarding it aswatched the other young woman lay the baby back down in her crib before turning to address her. She looked pretty mis-matched with her black hair and tattoo’s, wearing pink pyjamas. But she liked the difference, what fun came out of being considered normal anyway?
“Sure go ahead.” She waved airily at Abby’s request. “It is a pretty annoying name anyway.”
She looked around the room. It was allot more furnished than the others, and a little larger too. The crib stood near the window, beside another dresser, which had a small lamp and a few boxes on top, probably filled with the usual baby stuff. There was a little basket near the dresser, filled with soft toys and the walls where painted with disney characters. It really looked like the typical little girls bedroom. “So is this your first time on a Mystical Island? I can always spot the newbies.” She continued, lightly.

Abby smiled at the girls joke but she felt weird in this house it wasn’t like her old apartment, small cramped and crowded with pictures and clothes on the floor. This was big, spacious and clean, totally different to what she was accustomed to but what the hell beggars cant be choosers here right? There was a sound somewhere like banging of some sort but she didn’t know what.
“You know your right it is, and I get the feeling it’s your first time too”
Abby responded with a bit of a grin but then hearing something else like the shuffling of heavy boots on the gravel she stopped smiling. With a frown she walked over to a window in the hall that looked down at the front of the house and what she saw made her blood curl. Someone was making a lot of effort to stay in the shadows of the house as they slowly and obviously what they thought was stealthily made their toward the front door, whoever it was looked big.
“There’s someone down there, and it’s not Ellen”
Abby whispered partly to herself and partly to the girl that was in the hall with her. Looking around her she picked up some old metal candlestick holder off one of the tables in the hall, most likely used if there were black outs. Then creeping down the stairs she could see the front door clearly, so far nothing moved. Positioning herself beside the door she waited to see if whoever was outside would try to get in, a quick glance told her the door was locked but would it stay that way.

“You must have a good eye.” Clementine said with a smile. She wanted to look as friendly as she could, but after this whole experience it was difficult to know what to feel. Her smile faded suddenly as she heard another bang and reacted similar to Abby, creeping downstairs, making sure to keep beside her. She crossed the kitchen and grabbed a rolling pin from the bench, before positioning herself close to Abby again.
She could hear boots on the wooden decking of the patio and then the sound of someone picking at the lock of the fly screen. With her hand placed firmly on the doorknob, she glanced at Abby for a moment, trying to ignore the thumping of her heart against her chest as she listened to the screen door opening, she then felt something grab the doorknob and she swung the door open, swinging the rolling pin hard against the person’s head.
“Ouch!” The blonde cried out, his hands gripping his head, he staggered back a few paces before pulling his hands back out in front of him to inspect if there was any blood. He then looked at the two women with pained confusion.
“Marshall? You stupid Hick! What the hell are you doing?” Clementine asked, still holding the rolling pin up. He may have seemed nice before but if he was willing to try to break into the house she might have to think twice before trusting the guy again.
“You nearly broke my f*cking skull, Girl!” He grimaced.
“It’s not that bad.” Her face turned into an amused smile, despite herself.
“It’s my dang head I’ll tell y’ how bad it is!”
“What where you doing trying to break in?”
“I wasn’t! I was protecting you!”
“From what? Southern perverts? We heard you banging around out here.”
“That wasn’t me.” His face fell serious. “I saw Ellen head off and so I came back. Then I heard a few bangin’s n’ thought I’d stick around a bit longer.”

Abby was about to swing with the metal candlestick holder and if she had there would have been blood she packed a punch, lowering it slightly at the sight of Marshall she waited for the interactions between the two to stop before she asked her own question.
“If that’s true then why the hell were you keeping to the shadows and sneaking around like someone on a mission?”
Abby said her voice firm but not raised, the candlestick holder was still firmly in her hand and if his answer didn’t sit well with her then he would be on the floor in a coma before he even knew it. Abby was a forensic scientist she had seen so many bad things in her line of work and she wasn’t about to let any of those things or anything else for that matter happen to herself.
